3rd Annual Bike Ride Kirtan Darbaar Reunion

Sunday – 13th November 2016, With the leadership and guidance of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj and with the love of the Sat Sangat the Sikh Helpline held their 3rd annual Bike Ride Kirtan Darbaar Reunion at Guru Har Rai Gurdwara, West Bromwich. The day was filled with positive energy and beautiful  kirtan from various jathas. The 2016 Sikh Helpline Charity Bike Ride was an even greater success than last year, with over a 100 cyclists taking part in this great event. The total amount raised by the participants was £24,459.77 The funds raised will be used to support the projects that the helpline are implementing, it will also support the work carried out by the volunteers who provide this much needed service in the local community.

The award ceremony was received with great enthusiasm from the sponsors that have supported the helpline over the years. Many sponsors spoke in high regards of the important work carried out by the helpline and the work their volunteers carry out in the community. Many felt that the taboo subjects in the Sikh and Punjabi community are now being raised and are being tackled head on. We would like to say thank you to all the volunteers who helped organise the event, the riders who took part and raised the awareness of the work the Sikh Helpline carry out, and also to all the sponsors who have supported the helpline financially. Without the support of the Sangat it would not be possible for the helpline to carry out the work that they do.
