Every Call Matters
A missed call may be the only attempt someone makes for help
The Sikh Helpline is receiving high volumes of calls, with demand extending nationwide. We have volunteers Birmingham, London, Leicester, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and other parts of UK
We need community support to help us keep up with the increasing call demand. Every call matters, and a missed call may be the only attempt someone makes for help. It is crucial that every call is answered.
The Sikh Helpline handles calls each month on issues ranging from grooming and domestic abuse to racism and substance addiction. Due to cultural barriers and the emphasis on “honour” within the local community, many victims suffer in silence. Understanding these unique cultural challenges, the Sikh Helpline offers a supportive network for those in need.
The Sikh Helpline is completely privately funded. To provide these essential services from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, we rely on the generosity of our donors. We appreciate all donations, regardless of size. I urge people to support this worthwhile cause. You can use any of the methods listed below. Please call us at 0845 644 0704 to find out more.
