Charity Bike Ride 2016

bike 2016

With Guru’s grace we are now looking forward to holding our 3rd Bike Ride event for the Sikh Helpline. The previous two rides in 2014 and 2015 have proved to be a huge success, not only bringing the community together, promoting health and well being but also fund raising for the Sikh Helpline. The Sikh Helpline team are hoping to have in excess of 100 participants. The cyclists will set off on their 24 mile bike ride journey, stopping at 10 local Sikh Gurdwaras who are also engaging in this worthy cause.

Last year the ride raised about ?14,166.59 which allowed the Sikh Helpline to employ a full time and part time member of staffs, move to new premises and open up a new branch in Yorkshire and Manchester. The cyclists are expected to cross the finish line at the final Gurdwara in Wolverhampton after pedalling 24 miles and are aiming to raise money towards the ?20,000 target of the ?Every Call Matters? campaign
