The Sikh Helpline Local Family Bike Ride 2nd Oct 2022
NOTE: It is with regret that our event on Sunday 18th September has been postponed to 2nd Oct 2022. The Local Family Ride is scheduled to be held the day before the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. As you may be aware this year the Sikh Helpline received the Queen’s Award for Volunteering Services, this celebrated the outstanding work of local volunteer groups across the UK.
As a mark of respect the charity has requested a cessation of all fundraising activities during the period of national mourning. Our new date for the ride will be Sunday 2nd October 2022
Please note only the date has changed, the schedule for the event remains exactly the same.
With Guru’s grace we are now looking forward to holding our 2022 Local Family Bike Ride for the Sikh Helpline. The previous years have proved to be a huge success, not only bringing the community together, promoting health and well being but also fund raising for the Sikh Helpline. The cyclists will set off on their 17 mile bike ride journey , stopping at 12 local Sikh Gurdwaras and Mr Singhs who are also engaging in this worthy cause. “Every Call Matters; that missed call may have been their only chance to make a call”

We need the support of the local communities to help us keep up with the increasing demand of calls. Every call matters and a missed call may be the only attempt someone makes for help. It is crucial that every call is answered.”
