If so, we have an incredible new part time opportunity with the Sikh Helpline team in Yorkshire.

The Sikh Helpline require a paid outreach support worker that will help to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention within the Yorkshire region after the number of suicide and mental health cases that have increased in the last 6 months.

This roles will enable the delivery of an outstanding suicide prevention, through the effective management of the Sikh Helpline team, alongside promotion and development of the service. To be successful in this role you will have: A proven track record of building and managing an effective team, supporting their development, and managing their performance. Previous experience of building, developing, and managing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the community, voluntary, statutory, and political settings Previous successful experience of working in suicide prevention or mental health Awareness of the issues around safeguarding and how these can affect people at risk.

The Sikh Helpline, a reputable and national charity are looking to recruit an experienced Regional Office Coordinator Promoting Mental Health Awareness & Suicide Prevention join their term on a fixed term basis, starting as soon as possible.

The working hours are part time, 3 days a week (exact TBC)

The successful candidate will have experience in administration and office management duties in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have past experience in building strong networks and relationships namely with Gurdwaras and other networks, denominational structures. The candidate must have a sound understanding of the main principles of Sikhi.

Requirements:

Fluent in Punjabi / English

Understanding of the Sikh Faith

Clear DBS

Eligibility to work in the UK
