The Sikh Helpline Bike Ride 2017
With Guru’s grace we are now looking forward to holding our 3rd Bike Ride event for the Sikh Helpline. The previous two rides in 2015 and 2016 have proved to be a huge success, not only bringing the community together, promoting health and well being but also fund raising for the Sikh Helpline. The Sikh Helpline team are hoping to have in excess of 100 participants. The cyclists will set off on their 24 mile bike ride journey, stopping at 12 local Sikh Gurdwaras who are also engaging in this worthy cause.
Last year the ride raised about GBP26k which allowed the Sikh Helpline to employ a full time and part time member of staffs, move to new premises and open up a new branch in Yorkshire and Mnachester. The cyclists are expected to cross the finish line at the final Gurdwara in Wolverhampton after pedalling 24 miles and are aiming to raise money towards the GBP40,000 target of the “Every Call Matters” campaign

What can you do to help?
‘We need the support of the local communities to help us keep up with the increasing demand of calls. Every call matters and a missed call may be the only attempt someone makes for help. It is crucial that every call is answered.”
