SIKH HELP LINE - VOLUNTEER EVENT
Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh,
An event is taking place on Saturday 30th October 2004. The event is to
promote the activities of the first UK based Sikh Helpline. In the event we
hope to highlight how the organisation has grown over the past years and how
resource is allocated. We are Aiming to address areas of Volunteer Support
for the organisation and request professional assistance guidance and
support.
Depression, bullying, addictions and discrimination are just some of the
issues that are commonly raised with the helpline. Many contemplate suicide
while others are suffering in silence. They need help and emotional support
- and need it urgently in many if not all instances.
We believe your knowledge and skills would greatly benefit an organisation
as the Sikh Helpline and its callers. What we ask is if you could attend the
event and if you feel that you individually or your organisation could
provide support to the Sikh helpline in any way.
We would appreciate both your guidance and your support and hope that you
can attend the event.
